Adaptación y perfeccionamiento_Suntory Time

Hace tiempo que los japoneses abandonaron parte de su cultura milenaria y comenzaron a adoptar las constumbres de occidente. Y no hay constumbre más antigua en la vieja Europa que la destilación y posterior disfrute del whisky; especialmente en las islas británicas y particularmente en Escocia. Allí dicen que las cualidades inigualables de ese whisky se deben a los manantiales y clima inimitables de las ‘highlands’.

Sin embargo nuestros amigos asiáticos se han encargado de desmitificarlos; y es que el premio 2008 al mejor whisky de malta (otorgado por la publicación escocesa The Whisky Magazine http://www.whiskymag.com/) ha recaído en el japonés Yoichi de 20 años, mientras que el premio al mejor whisky de mezcla ha sido otorgado al Suntory Hibiki. Ya lo anunciaba Billy Murray en la película Lost in Translation.

From some time ago the japaneses left their milenary culture and started to get the occidentals customs. And there is not oldest custom in Europe than the destilation and enjoyment of whisky, specially in Great Britain and particulary in Scotland. They say there that the reason for their unequalled quality whisky is the special conditions and climate from the highlands.

However, our asiatic friends have debunked the myth, because the prize for the best malt whisky 2008 (awarded by the scottish magazine The Whisky Magazine http://www.whiskymag.com/) has gone to the japanese Yoichi 20 years, whereas the award for the mix whisky has gone to the Suntory  Hibiki. It was announced by Billy Murray in the movie Lost in Translation.

Es la primera vez que el premio se otorga a un whisky fuera de Escocia, y curiosamente es el escocés más internacional quien anuncia este whisky en Japón.

This is the first time that this award goes out Scotland, and oddly this whisky is advertised by the most international scottish men.
